Class five pupil drown in a stream

A 13-year-old class five pupil, Kwame Kesse of Sefwi-Asantekrom D/C Primary School in the Sefwi-Wiawso Municipality got drowned in a stream when attempting to fetch water.

An autopsy report issued by Dr. Edward Appiah, a senior medical officer at the Sefwi-Wiawso Government Hospital revealed that the deceased died from “Asphyxia”.

Sources at the Western Regional Crime Office confirmed the tragic incident to the GNA in Sekondi on Thursday.

The police said the deceased went with his colleagues to a nearby stream in Sefwi-Asantekrom to fetch water around 1730 hours last Wednesday Jan. 10 when the sad incident occurred.
