Civil Service Clinic handed over

Accra, Jan. 5, GNA – The Managing Director of S.A. Contract Works Limited, Mr Adjei Sasu on Thursday handed over keys to the renovated former GFA Building, which would now house the Stadium Clinic, as the Civil Service Clinic, to the Head of the Civil Service, Dr Alex Glover-Quartey.

The renovation works, completed within two months at 311 million cedis was initially estimated at 210 million cedis. At the handing over ceremony, which was witnessed by the Minister of Health, Major Courage Quashigah (rtd) and other officials of the Ghana Health Service and the Civil Service, Dr Glover-Quartey took the Health Minister round the facility, which includes two consulting rooms, recovery rooms, pharmacy, laboratory, medical records and washrooms for staff and patients.

Dr Glover-Quartey said the clinic financed by the Civil Service would be inaugurated soon, but assured all Civil Servants that it would be opened on Monday, January 9.

Major Quashigah commended the Head of the Civil Service for the initiative and expressed the hope that the clinic would cut out all the time wasting and long travelling by Civil Servants to access health care.
