Civil Servants in Ajumako district say yes to health insurance scheme

Ajumako (C/R) July 14 GNA – The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Civil Servant Association have pledged their full support for the proposed health insurance scheme for Civil Servants.

Under the scheme, Civil Servants would contribute 10,000 cedis a month from their salaries to cater for their hospital bills.

In a resolution, adopted at the end of an emergency meeting to deliberate on the scheme, the members reiterated that it would alleviate the hardships workers encountered in settling their medical bills. Mr Charles Biney, Local Chairman of the Association, thanked the members for endorsing the scheme and exhorted them to work harder to justify their demands for salary increases.
