Citizens of Adaklu-Kodzobi complete 10-year development plan

Adaklu-Kodzobi(V/R), Mar. 1, GNA – The Chiefs and people of Adaklu-Kodzobi near Ho Polytechnic have completed all projects initiated under their 10-year development plan from 1998 to 2008. The projects included a three-classroom block for their Junior High School, electrification and extension of pipe-borne water to the community.

Togbe Dzegblade IV, Chief of Adaklu-Kodzobi announced this at a meeting with the people at the week-end to assess its progress and launch a new 10-year development plan to improve drainage, community roads and sanitation.

He said this would include the completion of a 20-seater community water closet toilet being constructed by a group of Baptist Christians from USA.

Togbe Dzegblade expressed appreciation to management of Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), Ho Municipal Assembly and commitment of the people to complete the projects. He reminded the people of the ban on indiscriminate tree felling for firewood and charcoal burning.

Togbe Dzegblade advised them to make judicious and economic use of utility facilities now available to them to improve their standard of living.

He observed that rural communities could experience rapid development by initiating their own projects and complement efforts of government. 01 March 09
