Church of Latter Day Saints donates wheelchairs to the disabled

Ankaful (C/R), Nov. 3, GNA – The Cape Coast branch of the Church of Latter Day Saints on Thursday presented wheelchairs and toiletries to inmates of the Ankaful Leprosy Camp, near Cape Coast.

Making the presentation, Mr Steve Thompson country director of the Church, said the donation was the Church’s contribution towards the upkeep of the inmates.

Ms Cecilia Arthur, Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem district director of the Department of Social Welfare, who received the items, thanked the Church for the gesture. She appealed to other organizations and institutions to do same to complement government’s assistance to the inmates. 03 Nov. 06
