Church leaders urged to support developmental projects

Ofankor (G/A), Aug 16, GNA – Church leaders have been called upon to support the construction of schools and health facilities as well as the provision of portable water in their communities.

Prophet Ernest Ofosu, General Overseer of the Calvary Precious Blood Ministry International at Asofa near Ofankor, made the call during the Fifth Anniversary celebration of the church on Sunday.

He described education as the key to development and said the church was supporting 11 brilliant but needy children to pursue primary and secondary education while nine others had been flown overseas for further studies.

The General Overseer said the church planned to establish a School of Prophetic Impartation and Ordination and an Orphanage at Nsawam.

He called on the youth to be honest and to lead Christian life to enable them to become responsible citizens in future.

He said the church had trained five pastors who had volunteered their services and constructed a church building valued at GH¢15,700 in which they currently worshipped.

Prophet Ofosu said he had donated musical instruments worth Gh¢12,700 as his personal contribution towards the development of the church.

He said he had also developed a piece of land to be used as a transport terminal for the community.
