Church donates to flood victims

Kumasi, Oct.3, GNA – The Grace Baptist Church in Kumasi has donated food items and clothing, valued about GH=A25,000 (50 million cedis) to support victims of the recent floods in the three northern regions. The items included 69 bags of rice, 33 bales of used clothes, four bales of footwear and two boxes of laundry soap. Making the donation, Reverend Kojo Osei-Wusu, immediate past president of the Ghana Baptist Convention and a senior Pastor of the Church, reiterated that Christianity should go beyond just attending church and that helping the distressed should be a cardinal principle of religion.

Mr Emmanuel Asamoah Owusu-Ansah, Ashanti Regional Minister, who received the items, urged others to emulate the Church.
