Christ’s Little Band presents food items to Winneba Government Hospital

Winneba (C/R), July 18, GNA – The Ebenezer Methodist Church Cathedral Christ’s Little Band of Winneba on Saturday spent some hours to sweep the Government Hospital in Winneba and later presented food items worth two million cedis to the patients.

The items included soap, milk, sugar, soap and toilet rolls. The presentation formed part the Band’s 75th Anniversary Celebration, under the theme, “Jesus the Saviour of Mankind”. The Very Reverend Thomas Forson, Superintendent Minister of the Church, who presented the items, said the Band would periodically go to the aid of the Hospital.

The President of the Band, Madam Awo Charity called for sound environment to ensure healthy lives.

Mrs Margaret Bonney, Senior Nursing Officer, who received the items on behalf of the patients, promised to use them judiciously and called on others to emulate the Church and donate generously to the Hospital.
