Christians urged to intensify evangelism

Attiakrom, Feb. 24, GNA- Apostle Kadmel Agbelenyoh, President of the Seventh Day Church of Theocracy, on Saturday urged Christians to intensify evangelism to help change society for the better. He expressed worry that people such as drug peddlers and armed robbers lived in the midst of Christians, but were afraid to preach the word of God to them to enable them to change from their anti-social attitudes and activities.

The Apostle was delivering a sermon at the Church’s headquarters at Attiakrom in the Akwapim South District of the Eastern Region. Apostle Agbelenyoh advised Christians to do their best to help transform these criminals, by inviting them to join at their respective churches for prayers and the word of God. He called on Christians to offer help to the disadvantaged, especially street children and orphans in the society. He stressed the need for Christians to show love and kindness to HIV/AIDS patients and not to condemn them, since the disease could afflict anyone. The Apostle urged the church to help address issues of indiscipline, particularly among the youth in the churches and schools. About six hundred members of the Church from the Eastern and Central Regions attended the church service, which was also used to pray for the nation’s leaders.
