Christians urged to be humble

Kwesimintsim (W/R) April 1, -GNA- The Reverend Winfred Azornu, Kwesimintsim District Pastor of the Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church, on Sunday said the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday should teach Christians the value of humility. He was preaching at a service to mark Palm Sunday at the Emmanuel EP Church at Kwesimintsim near Takoradi.

Reverend Azornu said Jesus knew that the time had come for him to die but he humbly entered Jerusalem where he was prosecuted and crucified. He said humility should be the hallmark of Christians and every Christian should be humble as Jesus.

Reverend Azornu said while jubilating with palm trees on Palm Sunday Christians should not forget to reflect on their lives and not forget the suffering of Christ on the cross.

He said, “as Christians, we should be conscious that death would finally come and prepare for it as Christ did”.
