Christians in Dansoman worship on Saturday

Accra, Dec.6, GNA-Some Churches in the Dansoman Community, a suburb in Accra held services on Saturday evening so that qualified members of their congregations can exercise their franchise on Sunday. A visit by the Ghana News Agency to some of the churches showed that the services were devoted to prayers for the Electoral Commission, Security Agencies and the nation as a whole.

The Reverend Stephen Nketia, Head of the International Fellowship Centre, in an interview urged Christians to refrain from any type of violence during and after the elections.

He asked his congregation to go out and vote massively for their candidates and hope for the best candidate to come out the victor. Reverend Nketia expressed optimism that the nation would come out of the elections more united than ever. 6 Dec. 08
