Christians climax Easter holidays with picnics

Hundreds of holiday makers on monday thronged the various beaches in and around Accra to climax the Easter holidays. A visit by Radio Ghana to the La beach witnessed some jubilant holiday makers eating, dancing and playing football. Others were seen swimming and riding horses.

The day also saw many people visiting friends and loved ones for reunion while others were deep in picnics. This is how Radio Ghana captured the mood of the people.

Meanwhile, Accra remains relatively peaceful with free flow of traffic. There is also little security presence. Few traders were seen doing brisk business, inspite of the holiday. Transport and lorry parks are virtually empty.
