Christians asked to trust God in the New Year

Accra, Jan. 1, GNA – Reverend George Arhin, Senior Pastor of Exhibition Assemblies of God Church, has asked Christians to believe and trust in God so that they could experience His blessings in the New Year. He said: “As Christians we should endeavour to always trust in God and be more prayerful when trials and temptations come our way since God has promised to be always by us through thick and thin”. Rev. Arhin, who is also President of Greater Accra Regional Pastors of the Church, was delivering a sermon to usher in the New Year on Friday in Accra.

He called on Christians to eschew sin since it was the only barrier between them and the love of God.

Rev Arhin encouraged Christians to pray ceaselessly to God in times of temptations and trials.

Rev Arhin reminded Christians that God sometimes allowed them to go through challenges for their own good, adding “Trials and temptations are God’s ways of strengthening us in faith”.

He urged Christians to have great expectations this year since God would do great things.
