Christians asked to shun negative practices

Nsawam, March 28, GNA – The Rt. Rev. Dr. Frimpong Manso, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Ghana Presbyterian Church, has advised Ghanaians to shun practices that retarded the development of the country.

Preaching the sermon at the Nsawam Presbyterian Church on Sunday, on the theme, “You Can Have a New Life Through Jesus Christ”, he cited corruption, smuggling and drug trafficking as inimical to the socio-economic development of the country and Christians should shun them.

Rev. Frimpong Manso advised the members to preach the Gospel of the Lord among the people to repent and have the fear of God in them to teach the youth to grow to become good citizens with the love of God in them.

Rev. Kwabena Ofosu Addo, District Minister in-charge of the church commended members for raising 27 million cedis at a fund-raising harvest in aid of the expansion of the church building.
