Kumasi, May 24, GNA – A clergyman has appealed to Christians to embark on introspection in the face of the growing indiscipline in Christendom, to salvage the image of the Church. Very Reverend Dr Paul Boafo, Protestant Chaplain of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, said: 93Our holiness is gone and there is incidence of professed Christians openly engaging in acts of homosexuality, drugs abuse, rape and all manner of corrupt practices. He was delivering the sermon on the theme: 93Our Royal Priesthood”, at a thanksgiving service in Kumasi in honour of the new national chairman of the Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowship, Mr George Omane, at Old Tafo in Kumasi. Rev. Dr Boafo asked Christians to demonstrate integrity, humility, modesty, self-denial and accept to work towards “our common humanity.” He appealed to the Association to sustain its contribution to the growth and development of the church. Rev. Dr Boafo asked the new chairman to support the church to implement viable economic projects to boost its finances. Nana Wiafe Akenten 111, Omanhene of Offinso Traditional Area, congratulated Mr Omane on his election and urged him to work hard to bring progress to the church. Mr Omane pledged that the Association would ensure the completion of the phase three of the Methodist Retreat Centre at Kwadaso in Kumasi and embark on evangelism to win more souls for the church
