Christians advised to fully accept Christ

Accra, March 21, GNA – Pastor Paul K. Amoah, Anyaa District Pastor of the Church of Pentecost on Friday asked Christians to fully accept the Jesus Christ into their lives in order to fully benefit from the significance of the death of Christ at Calvary. Speaking on the theme: “The Benefit of Calvary ” at the Good Friday Service in Accra, Pastor Amoah said the death of Christ brought a reunion between God and man that has never existed thus opening a door for all humanity to come to God with boldness. ” Whatever man could not do under normal circumstances, Christ defied the laws of nature and his death has permitted us to do what we previously could not”, he added. Pastor Amoah said the death of Christ remained a mystery to the world, saying; “God was not thirsty for blood that was why he needed the death of Christ to atone for the sins of men, rather, there was the need for a sacrifice of a holy person who qualified to intercede for the sins of humanity.

“Christ therefore, came as one without blemish to atone for our sins and His blood was able to write off the repeated sacrifice of men each year to ask for forgiveness”, he said. He mentioned some of the benefits of Calvary as leading to an equal inheritance of all promises made by God to mankind as stated in the Bible and a new sense of reconciliation. Accroding to him, the death of Christ also brought happiness, wiped away darkness from the earth and the earthquake that occurred immediately after His death signified a new revival for all. Pastor Amoah also mentioned that the death of Christ was able to transform man’s heart and mind in a way that man was now qualified to have God dwell in him. He therefore advised Christians to take advantage of the resurrection power of God saying; “Christians must not loose heart because whoever takes full advantage of this revival shall have his liberty from all calamities on earth”.
