Christian family donates items to orphanage

Suhum (E/R), July 20, GNA – The Brumfield Family of Tyler Town, Mississippi, a US-based Christian family had donated two million cedis cash and various items to the Baptist Orphanage at Trotor, near Suhum, in the Eastern Region.

The items include 250 pairs of bathroom sandals, 140 exercise books and two bags of rice.

The items were presented on behalf of the family by Madam Victoria Cooper Enehia and were received by the Manager and Founder of the orphanage, Rev. Victor Ofori Amoah.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms Enehia said the donation was in recognition of the importance of children to Christ, adding that, since it was not the wish of the children to become orphans, every form of assistance must be given to them to live a normal life.

Rev. Amoah thanked the family for the donation and asked other Christian organisations, non-governmental organisations and benevolent societies to assist the school.
