Christ Presbyterian Church hosts Hour of Grace Orphanage

The Christ Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Koforidua hosted 69 orphans of the Hour of Grace Orphanage at the weekend.

The event formed part of activities marking the Young Adults Fellowship (YAF) Week and the Impartation Service of the Church.

In recent times, the Church has decided to use much of its resources to support the weak and vulnerable in society, and for the first, the policy was implemented.

The resident Minister, Rev. Abrah Appiah, encouraged the children to seek diligently the face of the Lord and study hard to successfully pass their examinations.

He said the Church was ready to support the home to nurture the children to be good leaders for the development of the country and to the glory of God.

Rev. Abrah added that, the gesture by the congregation to support the home is an act of obeying the commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ, and on behalf of the Church donated toiletries, clothes, beverages and bags of rice to the orphanage.

Madam Janet Ofosua Ansah, caretaker of the Home, received the items on behalf of Management. She expressed the home’s gratitude to the Church for the generous act and pleaded with it for continuous support for the well being of the inmates of the Home.
