Christ is the only true way to the Father- Very Rev Acquah

Christians have been advised to place their trust totally in Jesus Christ as His death and resurrection vindicates him as the only true way to God, the Father.

“Christians should believe that the passion, death and the resurrection of Christ is the only weapon that serves and guarantees our total connection to the Father.”

In his Easter Sunday sermon at the Adabraka Calvary Methodist Church in Accra on Sunday, the Very Reverend Dr Francis Acquah noted that Christ resurrection indicates to the world that He has overcome all things including hardship, death and hell.

He said the death and resurrection of Christ was not faked, but a reality which transformed the lives of the early disciples and formed the basis of Christianity.

“It made the early disciples bolder and faced squarely all threats that came their way including death.”

He said the death and the resurrection of Christ should make Christians bolder in all their endeavours especially in issues pertaining to the spreading of the Gospel.

“No matter the affliction we might go through, at the end of the day, Christs’ resurrection would make us conquerors,” he said.

Very Rev Dr Acquah, appealed to Ghanaians to eschew greed, corruption, bitterness, backbiting and revenge in order to move the nation forward.

He called on political leaders to be mindful of their utterances as hate speech and insults could spark conflicts in the country.

He urged the leaders to emulate Christ in all their endeavours in order to serve as role models for the youth.**
