CHRAJ Disposes off 7,781 cases in W/R.

Half-Assini (W/R) Oct.7, GNA – The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) in the Western Region disposed-off, 7,781 out of 8,302 complaints received from the public between January and June.

The complaints included child maintenance, human rights abuses, domestic violence, cheating and divorce among others. Mr. Benjamin Amenfi Jnr, Jomoro District Director of CHRAJ, said this at a ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of the Commission at Half-Assini.

Within the same period, he said, the Commission organised human rights education forums, workshops and seminars in more than 746 communities, youth groups and institutions in the region.

Mr. Kojo Armah, acting District Chief Executive, called on the people to cooperate, support and encourage the Commission to enable it to champion the cause of human rights.
