China Donates To Foreign Affairs Ministry

The Chinese Government on Wednesday presented office equipment valued at 500,000 Chinese Yuan to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at a ceremony in Accra.

The office equipment, which included 50 air-conditioners, 10 refrigerators, 10 duplicators, 10 fax machines, 10 shredders and 100 boxes of toner cartridges.

Presenting the items, Mr. Lu Yongshou, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, said the donation was a reflection of the friendly relations between the two countries. He said the Chinese Embassy in Ghana and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have established close and cordial relations and, as a result made a remarkable progress in promoting and strengthening the ties between the two institutions.

Receiving the items, Mr. Hackman Owusu Agyeman, the out-going Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked the Chinese government for coming to the aid of the Ministry.

He said the Ministry had facilitated most of the direct foreign investments that had come into the country.
