China celebrates 50 years

Accra, Aug. 27, GNA – The Chinese Embassy in Ghana will host a Chinese Movie Festival from 3rd to 5th September as part of activities marking the 50 years Diplomatic Relations between the People’s Republic of China and Ghana.

A statement from the Chinese Embassy copied the Ghana News Agency said the diplomatic relations between the two countries had thrived due to accommodation and shifting of position.

Six movies will be shown during the festival at the Silverbird Cinema at the Accra Mall according to the statement, which added that there would be movies each day, except for the opening day when admission would be restricted to the invited guests.

The films include Kung-fu, My Sunshine Day, and Walking to School, which would help Ghanaians to better understand the Chinese culture, the national spirit of Chinese people and the modern society of China.
