Children donate to Christ Faith Foster Home

Accra, June 25, GNA – The Children’s Department of the Holy Ghost Revival Assemblies of God Church over the weekend presented assorted foodstuffs to the Christ Faith Foster Home at Frafraha near Accra as part of its seventh anniversary celebration. The Department also handed over to the home, a bail of second-hand clothing and one million cedis cash to support the inmates. The Reverend Robert Nelson Adayi, Head of Missions said the donation which was an annual affair meant to contribute to the needs of the less privileged in society.

He said there was the need for society to show love, care and support for the underprivileged adding, “This is the only way to save the country from the increasing rate of social vices”. Ms Elizabeth Lawson, Head of Department advised the inmates to exhibit the fear of God and trust in the Lord. Ms Henrietta Agyeman, Senior Mother of the home who received the items from Adjoa Duker, one of the children said the home currently houses 50 children, aged between four to 22. Ms. Agyeman expressed gratitude to the church for the gesture and called on other benevolent associations to assist the home.
