Child Health Promotion Week launched in Wassa West

Tarkwa (W/R) May 17, GNA – The Ghana Health Service and the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Tarkwa Dynamite FM radio station on Monday launched the Child Health Promotion Week in the Wassa West district.

During the weeklong celebrations, the people, especially children would be given free treatment of some ailments at outreach points, health centres and clinics in the district.

The staff of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union, volunteers and personnel of the various health institutions have been mobilised to facilitate the Child Health Promotion Week.

A member of the planning committee told the Ghana News Agency that provision of Vitamin “A” supplements and the registration of children under one year would be some of the health services that would be provided.

He urged stakeholders in health delivery to coordinate their activities to supplement the efforts of the Government to improve healthcare delivery in the country. 17 May 04 NNNN
