Chiefs, People Of Hohoe Condemn SC Petition

The Chiefs and people of Hohoe-Gbi Kpeme have registered their disapproval and condemned a petition lodged with the Appointments Committee of Parliament by a group calling itself the ?Gbi Youth?, in respect of the nomination of Professor Kodzo Paaku Kludze(pictured) to the Supreme Court.

A resolution signed by Togbe Worde IV, Chief of Gbi-Kpeme and 24 others and addressed to the Chairman of the Appointments Committee, said, there is no group in the area known as ?Gbi Youth?.

It said, the petition was lodged by disgruntled youth who disliked Professor Kludze, adding that the allegation leveled against him were false and should be ignored.

The resolution called for an investigation into the petition and punishment of the perpetuators, to deter others from wasting the time of members of the Committee.
