Chiefs and People of Sawla-Tuna Kabla discuss health needs

Sawla (N/R), Nov 29, GNA – A health forum to discuss and find solution to the numerous health problems facing the Sawla-Tuna Kabla District was held in Sawla at the weekend. The forum, organised by the Ghana Health Services was attended by more than 150 people including Chiefs, Assembly Members, Women and Youth groups.

Addressing it, the District Director of Ghana Health Services, Hajia Awabu Mahama, commended the chiefs for their concern to make sure the health needs of the community were addressed. Hajia Awabu Mahama, informed the people that, services including ante-natal delivery, post natal and all under five health care delivery services were free of charge, and urged them to help raise the level of patronage of such services.

They should also encourage their people to immunise their children under five years.

Speaking on behalf of the chiefs, the Kunfusiwura, Mr Forgor Jeduah appealed for a pickup to serve as an ambulance for the area.
