Chief urges government to provide NCCE with more logistics

Mpasatia-Ashanti, Dec. 27, GNA 96 Nana Karikari Appau II, Chief of Mpasatia has appealed to Government to provide more logistics to personnel of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) to operate efficiently and effectively.

He noted that the personnel required more vehicles for outreach programmes to create and sustain education of the people on their civic responsibilities to defend the abuse and violation of their human rights.

Nana Appau made the appeal at a public education durbar organised by the NCCE in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Mpasatia in the Atwima-Mponua District.

He called on the NCCE to educate the people especially the youth on the dangers of drug-abuse, indecent dressing and indiscipline. Mr Emmanuel Dua Atobra, Atwima-Mponua District Director of NCCE, said it was important for women to unite and fight for equality to enjoy their rights under the 1992 Constitution.

He said women had a vital role in the upbringing of children who would be future leaders.
