Chief predicts NPP victory in elections

Samang (E/R), Dec. 5, GNA – The Chief of Samang, near Osino, in the Fanteakwa District in the Eastern Region, Nana Okoampah Agyemang has predicted victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the coming elections due to its outstanding achievements.

According to him, the development projects provided the communities would undoubtedly influence the electorate to vote massively for President John Agyekum Kufuor to continue with his good works. Nana Agyemang made the prediction on Saturday, when the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mr Felix Owusu-Agyepong inaugurated an aqua-privy KVIP toilet facility and a block six classrooms in the town. He recounted that, since the Busia regime, the town had not seen any developmental projects, noting “no government remembered the town until the NPP came to power four years ago”.

Nana Agyemang said the provision of those projects was enough demonstration that the NPP had come to develop the nation and commended President Kufuor for the pace it had set in just four years of governance.

He said, come December 8, the story would be that of “continuation of the government in power,” and pledged that all registered people in the area would on Tuesday go out to vote massively.

The Minister thanked the chief for his assurance and told the people to remain calm throughout the elections.

He said President Kufuor was bent on seeing to it that farmers and people in the rural areas were not left out in the improvement of the standard of living, saying the success story of the cocoa farmers gave credibility to the Government’s commitment.

Mr Owusu-Agyepong urged the people to vote massively for President Kufuor and the Parliamentary Candidate of the NPP for the area and promised that more of such developments would be seen in the coming years.
