Chief of Wassa Mangoase Appeals to MCE and MP for Development Support

The Chief of Wassa Mangoase , Nana Kwasi Allou , has appealed to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of wassa Amenfi East, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah(OBIAABEDIDI), and the Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Hon Nicholas Amankwah(Home Boy) , to come to the aid of his community by addressing pressing developmental needs.

Speaking at a durbar with elders and community members, the chief highlighted the urgent challenges facing his people, which include a lack of potable water, poor road networks, unreliable electricity supply, limited network connectivity, and the absence of critical social infrastructure such as a functioning school and a CHPS compound.

“Our community is blessed with hardworking farmers and peace-loving people, but we are left behind when it comes to development. Our children walk long distances to school, our women suffer during childbirth due to the absence of a health facility, and the bad roads make it difficult to transport farm produce to market,” Nana stated.

He emphasized that access to basic social amenities is not a privilege but a right, and called on both the MCE and MP to prioritize the needs of Mangoes in their development agenda.

Community members present at the gathering also expressed their hopes that the appeal would translate into action, stressing that the provision of potable water, electricity, and reliable network connectivity would greatly improve their standard of living.

The chief concluded his address by assuring the leaders of his people’s continuous support, while urging them to fulfill their mandate by bringing lasting development to the community.
