Chief of Staff Julius Debrah is 50 today

Ghana’s current Chief of Staff Julius Debrah is celebrating his 50th birthday today.

Debrah, who is credited with “instilling discipline” at the Flagstaff House – the seat of Government – since assuming the post a year and a few months ago, toldStarrfmonline.com he is grateful to God for bringing him this far, hence the day is going to be a sober reflection.

For him, his biggest wish on this memorable day, is to see incumbent President John Mahama winning the November 7 elections as his boss eyes a second term in office, having won the 2012 polls.

Debrah, affectionately called JD, was born on April 24, 1966 and has been a grassroot member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC). Prior to his appointment as Chief of Staff, Debrah was a Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Eastern Regional Minister and Greater Accra Regional Minister.

Touted as an “action man” and a “perfectionist” with his trademark white outfits, the chief of staff is an experienced entrepreneur, and social development specialist. He went to Achimota School, and then to the University of Ghana, Legon, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Debrah is a native of Obomeng Kwahu and is married with two children.
