Chief of Peseato appeals for help for school

Akim Peseato (E/R), July 29, GNA – The chief of Akim Peseato Baffour Kwasi Afrifa I, has appealed to the Fanteakwa District Assembly and the District Education Directorate to, as a matter of urgency, come to the aid of the only primary school at Peseato to save it from collapse.

He expressed regret that appeals to the assembly to assist had proved futile and the six-unit block “cries for urgent renovation.” Baffour Afrifa told the GNA that during the rainy season teaching and learning became impossible.

He also complained about the bad nature of the road and said farmers had to carry their produce on their heads to the market. “Parents are forced to employ the services of their wards to help carry their produce to the market, a distance of eight kilometres, at the expense of schooling.”
