Chief of Nanakese appeals for more police personnel

The chief of Nanakese, Barima Annor Marfo II, has appealed to the Police Administration to post more personnel to the Nanakese Police Station.

He said, currently, only one police personnel go on duty at any time and such situation makes it difficult for effective policing.

Barima Marfo made the appeal during the inauguration of an upgraded Nanakese Police Post to a Police Station.

Mr William Boateng, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of South Akim Rural Bank observed that, the bank see the police as an ally hence the readiness to support the personnel.

He said,it was in that spirit that the bank responded to the request of the chiefs and people of Nanakese to rehabilitate the old Nankese Post Office into a modern Police Station at the cost of GHC30,000.00.
