Chief of Kofiasua seeks Financial support for the construction of school building for Kofiasua Pimary/JHS

The Chief of Kofiasua, a suburb within the Dormaa Central Municipality, who also serves as the Twafoɔhene and Kotodwehene of the Dormaa Traditional Council, Barima Osei Twumasi Bekoe, has initiated a fundraising exercise to garner financial support for the construction of a two-story building unit for the Kofiasua Primary and Junior High School. This initiative aims to enhance the educational experience within the community.

Addressing the gathering during the event, Barima Twumasi Bekoe underscored the significance of education as the cornerstone of national development. He stressed the necessity of providing students and educators with an optimal environment to foster the quality of education, hence his resolve to construct state-of-the-art classroom blocks, the first of its kind within the Dormaa Central Municipality. This project aims to elevate and expand the existing educational facilities in Kofiasua and its environs.

He vowed to diligently pursue the completion of this project within the next three years, relying on the support and contributions from benevolent individuals, philanthropists, the government, and other pertinent stakeholders to transform his vision into reality.

Barima Twumasi Bekoe disclosed that the Kofiasua Traditional area has asked for the contributions of Gh¢100.00 from each household in Kofiasua for the school building initiative. He implored all households to engage in this endeavor to guarantee the project’s fruition. As the Chief of the community, he vowed to advocate for the advancement of Kofiasua and committed to laboring diligently to elevate the community to its rightful stature.

Rev. Father Kingsley Dwamena Asante, the Dormaa Central Municipal Director of Education, who was present at the event, expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Kofiasua for the commendable decision that promises to elevate the state of education in the community. He emphasized that the government alone cannot accomplish this task; thus, support from traditional leaders and other stakeholders is essential to enhance educational excellence in the nation.

He pledged to exert all efforts within his capacity as Director of Education Services to bolster the initiative by informing the Regional Education Director, the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, and the Minister of Education, urging them to contribute their part towards the successful realization of Nana’s vision.
