Chief National Chief Imam protests non-invitation to oil event

Accra, Dec. 16, GNA – The Office of the National Chief Imam on Thurs= day protested that he was not invited to the pouring of the nation’s first commercial oil in Takoradi on Thursday and demanded an apology from the Government and organisers. A statement signed by Alhaji Adam Musah Abubakar, Administrative Manager, said the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu, described the situation as “embarrassing”. “We are therefore expressing our concern to both the organisers and the Government, knowing very well that the Chief Imam is a national figure,” the statement said.
