Chief initiates projects for Saltpond Lower Town

Saltpond Lower Town (C/R), Sept 17, GNA- The people of Saltpond Lower Town (Abukesido) in the Central Region are undertaking a number of projects in the town.

These include a day care centre, vocational and computer training centres and rehabilitation of the local primary school block. Nana Baah VII, chief of the town and Nimfahene of Nkusukum Traditional Area, said this when he interacted with people of the town to solicit their support for the projects.

Nana Baah said the Nkosuohene, Nana Ato Kwamina Asokomfo, who resides in Britain, has sent money for the projects. He appealed to the citizens to provide stones, sand and communal labour to reduce cost.

He appealed to his people to put in their efforts to get the projects completed on schedule.

Mr William Sackey, a citizen of the town appealed to the Mfantseman District Assembly and non-governmental organisations (NGOS) to help them complete the projects.
