Chief Imam welcomes pilgrims back home

Accra, Jan. 31, GNA – The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharabutu on Wednesday welcomed back home pilgrims who performed the 2006/07 Hajj and prayed that Allah would accept their Hajj. In a statement issued by Alhaji Awaisu Bio, Public Relations Officer of the Office of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Sharabutu consoled the families of those who passed away during the Hajj and prayed for the speedy recovery of those who are ill or hospitalized. He prayed to Allah that those who were unable to make it this year would have good health and long life to perform the Hajj later. Sheikh Sharabutu gave the assurance that steps were being taken to refund their money to them and urged them to exercise restraint and patience.

Hundreds of pilgrims were unable to fly to Saudi Arabia for Hajj because there was no flight.
