Chief Imam pledges support for Zongo youth

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu has pledged his support for the Zongo youth as they celebrate the Zongo Youth Month.

He made this known when members of the Change for Zongo Youth (COZY) paid a courtesy call on him as part of #CelebratingtheZongoYouth #TellingtheZongoStory celebration which is celebrated every year in April.

The executives of the COZY presented branded T-shirt to the Imam.

He expressed joy at the group’s initiative and efforts and stated, that such an initiative will go a long way in shaping the identity of the Zongo Youth”.

He lauded the group and asked for Allah’s blessings and strength for them asking them to work harder in changing the Zongo story.

This year’s Zongo Youth Month is the second edition of the annual event, which honors and celebrates change makers among Zongo youth.

Last year, over 40 youth were celebrated for their community development works.
