Chief Imam donates ambulance to Korle-Bu

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has donated a Ford ambulance to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) in Accra.

The donation took place within the premises of the hospital last week, a gesture which the cleric said was informed by the need to support the health facility meet its obligations as the largest hospital in the country.

As a referral hospital serving the whole country, Muslims and other faiths alike, he said he hopes that his gesture would be emulated by others who are endowed as to be able to part with some money for the betterment of the hospital.

Sheikh Sharubutu also prayed for the progress of the health facility.

He was accompanied to the hospital for the donation by some of his officials. The ambulance was received on behalf of the hospital by the Chief Executive Officer of KBTH, Dr Gilbert Buckle, who expressed gratitude to the cleric and asked that others follow his footprints, adding that the chief imam is a man worthy of celebration.
