Chief embarks on road construction

Nana Gyamanin Awere Bawuah, Chief of Nhyinasenase in Atwiama Nwabiagya has embarked on the construction of three culverts on the three kilometre Nhyinasenase-Nkoran road.

The project, on completion, is to enable farmers in the area to convey their produce such as cocoa and other cash crops to market and facilitate ready patrons for their products.

According to the Nhyinasenase Chief, the three bridges, which are nearing completion, cost him GH¢20,200.

Briefing the Ashanti File during a visit of the road project, Nana Gyamanin noted that it was constructed in the 1980s to link Bibiani and Nkawie, but has been ignored.

The Nyinesenasehene has also contributed laterite at the cost of GH¢300,000 for the construction of the Atwima Agogo-Maakro stretch of road.

Nana Gyamanin named Kobbing Keach Company Limited as the contractor executing the project, which is expected to facilitate transportation and bring economic benefits to the people.

The Chief has, therefore, called on the government to support the project, which was initiated by the community.

He said the community would appreciate government assistance in the tarring of the road.
