Chief butcher dies at age 120

Kumasi, Aug 6, GNA – Alhaji Seidu Alhassan, Chief Butcher of Kumasi, who died at the age of 120, on Monday, August 2, was buried on August 3, a family spokesman said.

The late Alhaji Alhassan who was installed as chief butcher in 1938, left behind two wives, 13 children, 80 grand children and 50 great grand children.

The final funeral rites (Adowa) will be held on Sunday, August 8 at the Kumasi Central Mosque.
