Chief apps foe rehabilitation of Djatsui road

Old Town near Nsawam in the Akwapem South Municipality has appealed to the Department of Feeder roads to come to their aid in regravelling a five-kilometer road linking the town with Adoagyin and Coaltar. Briefing the Ghana News Agency at a meeting held at Djastui on Friday, Nana Saba said because of the bad nature of the road, drivers plying it charged exorbitant prices. He said during daytime, the drivers charged between 50 GHP and 60 GHP but in the night between, they charged 1 GH¢. Amega Saba, therefore, appealed to the Acting Inspector General of Police to take immediate action against the drivers who also engaged in overloading, to avoid accident. He also appealed to the government to come to their aid in the regravelling of the road to assist in the transportation of foodstuffs in the area to the cities.
