“Chelsea One Cup Tea Bags” is dangerous – Board

The Food and Drugs Board (FDB) on Thursday announced that there is a “Chelsea (110 Tea Bags) One Cup Tea Bags” tea on the market. The tea has been found to have been processed and packaged in China, but labelled as having been blended and packed by Chelsea Foods Limited, England.

The difference between the fake tea bags and the genuine ones are “the absence of batch numbers and best before dates” on the packet on the fake products. A statement issued in Accra said all efforts are being to retrieve the fake Chelsea Tea from the market.

The FDB also wishes to inform the public that the genuine product of Chelsea Tea (110 Tea Bags) is imported by Forewin Ghana Limited.
