Counsel for Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom and the Progressive People’s Party in the disqualification saga, Ayikoi Otoo has called the chairperson of the Electoral Commission liar as the party had rectified the only error on the nomination paper and submitted it to her.
He explained that Charlotte Osei had also accepted their document after correction and wondered why she would turnaround to submit that there were about hundred and five (105) errors on it.
The party on Tuesday afternoon fully filed its nominations after which the lead counsel Ayikoi Otoo addressed the Press at the EC premises.
In pouring out his anger and frustration, the lawyer Ayikoi Otoo reiterated that the CI 94 clearly mandates the Electoral Commission to give the parties opportunity to correct the errors.
The Progressive People’s Party had rectified the only error and duly submitted their forms; thus the EC has no grounds for bringing out one hundred and five errors.
