Change is here, just embrace it – Bagbin tells NDC

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has had a strong message from one of its leading members, Alban Bagbin.

The second deputy speaker of parliament is admonishing party members to refrain from not believing the fact that their main political rival – New Patriotic Party (NPP) – has won political power.

“It is important to take advantage of that change and make sure that it inures to your benefit. So I was drawing attention to making the change beneficial to us and our people.Whatever we have done, the change that has come with its leadership,” Alban Bagbin argued during on the sidelines of the celebration of this year’s Wilaa festival at Takpo in the Nadowli-Kaleo district of the Upper West Region.

These statements by Alban Bagbin follow an earlier revelation by former president John Mahama on how he felt responsible for the loss of the party in the just ended 2016 elections.

Meanwhile, YEN had earlier reported how Alban Bagbin and Haruna Iddrisu remain the key personalities likely to lead the party in 2020. So far, it still remains unknown whether John Mahama will be contesting the 2020 elections as he has described calls for his running “premature”.
