Chairman Bryant Calls On Pres. Kufuor

The Chairman of Liberia’s Transitional government, Charles Gyude Bryant Friday called on Ghanaian President, John Agyekum Kufuor, at the Castle, Osu, Accra.

Chairman Bryant told journalists that his visit was to consult President Kufuor on the impending general and presidential elections slated for October this year and some other pertinent issues.

He said considering the fact that Liberians would soon hold elections, it was imperative for him to tap into the experience of Ghana after the country’s recent and flourishing elections that gave President Kufuor another four-year term.

Chairman Bryant who has lost sight of a quantity of provisions in the CPA as alleged by political pundits, admitted some problems in the elections process in Liberia, but was quick to express convictions that the entire procedure would come out successful.

The Ghanaian President, John Agyekum Kufuor, averred that he was delighted that Liberia was on course towards organizing an election and expressed the hope that the undertaking would be free, fair and transparent.

Later, the two leaders were locked in a closed-door meeting at the Castle.
