Chabane cautions public on Madiba picture

The Minister for Performance Monitoring and Evaluation in the Presidency, Collins Chabane, has called on South African not to put too much focus on a reported picture of former president, Nelson Mandela, lying in state at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.

The Department of State Security on Thursday confirmed that the photograph of Mandela, purported to be of him lying in his casket at the Union Buildings, is a fake.

However, speaking on Morning Live, Chabane says people should not be distracted by the picture as there is a major task of organising Madiba’s funeral on Sunday.
