Central Region to seek God’s intervention

….for end to its investment woes

The Central Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) will in collaborate with some churches in the Cape Coast municipality soon to organise a four-day ‘prayer crusade’ to seek God’s intervention in enhancing its investment drive.

Mr Isaac Edumadze, Regional Minister, who said this at a soiree organised for media practitioners at Cape Coast on Thursday, said the crusade had become necessary because of the inability of the region to move forward in spite of its vast potentials.

The minister, who was quite unhappy about the region’s poverty status, was at a loss as to why the region was in such a situation, although it could boast of vast tracks of arable land and tourist facilities.

Efforts to bring together eminent sons and daughters of the region to plot strategies for its development have also not been successful, he added.

It is his anticipation that the crusade would help bring about “a change of heart” among people in the region to shed off their seemingly apathetic attitude towards the region’s development.

He cited an instance where someone had sabotaged the investment drive by writing to some potential investors to discourage them from investing in the region. For him, such negative tendencies could best be curbed with divine assistance.
