Central Region ready for BECE

Cape Coast, April 08, GNA – A total of 38,557 registered candidates from both public and private schools in the Central Region are expected to write this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which begins on April 11 and ends on April 15. Of the figure 17,495 are females, Mr. Emmanuel Kwofie, the Central Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service (GES), told the GNA in an interview on Friday. He said the Awutu Senya District has the highest number of candidates with 5,071 students and the Efutu District has the lowest of 899.
