Central Charismatic Baptist Church donates to Inmates

Kumasi, Dec. 26, GNA – The Teens Ministry of the Central Charismatic Baptist Church at Gyinyase in the Kumasi Metropolis, has donated one million cedis cash and some items valued at six million cedis to inmates of the Kumasi Children’s Home. The items included maize, edible oil, biscuits, sweets, loaves of bread, milk and soft drinks.

Pastor Francis Obeng, Pastor in-charge of the Teens Ministry, who made the donation at the Home in Kumasi on Saturday said, the church considered the plight of the children at the home very important. He hoped the donation would greatly support their upkeep and maintenance.

The Pastor stated that the occasion was also an opportune time for the children of the church to visit the home and interact with their colleagues to make them feel happy during the Christmas and the New Year festivities.

Miss Victoria Asugnye, Supervisor at the Home, who received the gifts, thanked the church for the gesture. She urged individuals, churches and organizations to come to their aid periodically for the maintenance of the inmates.
