CBO donates items to virgin club

Mankranso (Ash), March 27, GNA – Unity AIDS Team, a Community-Based Organisation (CBO) has donated items totalling over one million cedis to the Mankranso virgin club in the Ahafo-Ano South District. The items included two dozens of panties and brassieres, soft drinks, handkerchiefs and a cash of 300,000 cedis.

Making the presentation at Mankranso, Mr Samuel Adjei Arhin, Project Co-ordinator of the Team, advised the youth to abstain from casual sex since that would only jeopardise their future developments and progress.

He said their focus now should be how to live morally upright lives and the development of high affection for their academic work and not immoral conduct.

Mr Arhin cautioned them to be wary of gifts coming from adult men and women, since most of such gifts intended to influence them into engaging in immoral acts.

Mrs Mary Amponsah Koduah, the District Public Health Nurse and Co-ordinator of the Virgin Club, who received the items, lauded the concern of the Team for the proper moral development of the youth. She said their concern had manifested in the donation and assured them that members of the club will live up to expectation and always let good morals be their principles.
